Golfsmith stock up on offer from Golf Town

Shares of specialty golf and tennis retailer Golfsmith soared Monday on news that the Austin, Texas-based company will be acquired by a Canada-based Golf Town, for $6.10 per share in cash. Shares of Golfsmith were trading up $1.33, or more than 28 percent, at $6.04.
